woah - it’s been a while…
i have been so busy, i knew it had been awhile since i did a blog, but goodness. i wasn’t expecting a full month.xx
let’s catch up, shall we?
im gonna break this down to the remainder of august and then september.
REMAINDER OF AUGUST (august 9th-august 31)
i did my first out of state order!!
i discovered a new coffee joint in temple that i really like. (ignite coffee)
i picked up an azure order with so many goodies to create new products we have coming.
i bought myself a new purse that was extremely overdue (my other two were quite literally falling apart) the order was a mystery purse in my selected style and it turned out to be forest green and i call that fate.
i was doing our weekly chores for the animals and my husband said he would do them so i could hang out with all my animals. very sweet of him. this ironically turned out to be the day i got video and photos with linus. little did i know, these would be the last photos i got with him.
oakley went to the vet again, and is cleared and set up for success. he is still very much feral but is the sweetest little dude around.
we attended a birthday party and i ended up help deliver an unexpected litter of puppies.
we sold audrey and pops. pops couldn’t go by himself and we determined audrey may be too small for our males. therefore, it was best to sell her so she wouldn’t be injured when she got pregnant.
piggy backing off the one about linus. linus ended up passing. it was quick and unexpected. this was also rather defeating considering i had already saved him once before. i believe something was genetically wrong with him. he didn’t grow or thrive like everyone else we had from the same farm. losing linus was difficult. on top of losing him, i was already very ill (which is rare) and we were trying to celebrate something else, so it was a high mix of emotions. freddie did not do well with this loss. they were bonded and he took it HARD.
rosemary went broody again. but somehow all her eggs disappeared and some went bad. hopefully she does not go broody again.
i worked behind the scenes a mass amount. i started our glycerite line. (glycerites are tinctures without alcohol. they are made with vegetable glycerin instead)
i created three of our new tea blend line ups!
linus was cremated and returned back to us.
we listed our buckling for sale.
i started a new line of products that will be available by the end of year. (think major self care)
i finally got the labels for our magnesium spray and worked on some other labels.
we are still searching for the perfect property.
orion got bit by a dog. thankfully he’s okay and all healed up.
we sold shay and jett. they get to hang out with a new friend named dwight.
chanticleer passed away from heart failure we assume. he was fine and then his comb turned purple and then passed.
SEPTEMBER 1 to PRESENT
i have been dealing with an injured hand and shoulder issue for a week now and to this day, still trying to determine the cause of it. potentially may end up getting it checked out.
the family is finally in the clear from being sick for about two weeks.
we found a new favorite canned item and that’s buffalo chicken. (i’ll work on getting the recipe up this month)
found, yet another new favorite coffee shop here in copperas cove. it’s called slow morning coffee and i highly recommend. a vanilla latte is my go to)
i prepared some pizza dough and created our own homemade pizzas to make movie sunday’s a little easier and days we just need something quick. (ham and pineapple and og pepperoni, i can give instructions on how to do this in another blog post)
we went to a car show in galveston at moody gardens and it was loads of fun! we can’t wait to go back for the christmas lights. one of our favorite places.
still doing lots of backend work to get new products dropped, labels created and find some new shops and markets to join!
needless to say, i’ve been packed. this still doesn’t even cover half of it. i appreciate it if you made it this far. we love y’all rocking with us and sticking around for the real life stuff too. life happens and that’s okay. you’re not obligated to disclose everything and you’re allowed to take a step back from things if you need. no explanation needed. but, i wanted to fill you in on what’s been going on at the farm.
