slight catch up

alright alright alright.

welcome back after a few weeks of no blogs. (my apologies, life is still crazy) this week is no exception. this week we’ve had and still have:

• oakley getting neutered and leia getting spayed (same day)

• monthly prep of pizzas (4 regular and 8 minis)

• monthly meal plan

• monthly budget plan

• azure standard pickup

• friday night market

• saturday morning market (in dallas)

• sunday family fun

• culling chickens

that doesn’t include many of the itty, bitty things that need to be done in order to have everything run smoothly.  on top of that, my period came with a vengeance and early. (which is also a silver lining because it was supposed to start on my market days. my periods take me out for the entirety of them, so this was nerve wrecking to imagine) nonetheless, i stay busy, while also balancing work life to rest and family time.

since our last chat, we culled five chickens. we lost a few, and then unexpectedly lost lovey. lovey was one of our original ogs. she was a black indian runner. the trio of pickles, beautiful captain (who is stuffed), and lovey was the third. this one hurt a lot for reasons i’m not gonna go into. we’re moving on from that.

i am hoping that oreo and piper girl are pregnant!! and if im correct, they’d be pregnant by freddie which is very exciting. wasn’t the exact plan, but i let the girls choose their guys. s’mores went with orion to see if they choose each other, but it doesn’t seem like she is pregnant just yet. so we’ll be trying to confirm to see if the other two ladies are. if s’mores is not pregnant, i’ll be waiting until spring. winston is penned with the ladies, while freddie, orion, sully and dusty are together.

oakley is doing great from his surgery. while leia is on medication and working on getting healed. she’ll have to stay in the cone of shame for two weeks to avoid messing with her incision. pray for us because it’s only been a night and she’s managed to get it off. she’s an escape artist and hates anything on her body. zhara and zalia are going to be getting a diy outdoor heated home since it’s starting to get colder. (if you have any ideas of what we could do, please share!!) while the cats get that, ryder and leia are also getting an upgrade, so we’re working on that too.

overall, the animals have been great. i’ll do a more in depth of how we are preparing for winter for them once we get it all done. this year will look much different then this last year.

we’re getting our christmas scents in for room sprays, have new hot cocoa mixes coming and more.
