goats for hire!

having goats is a wild ride. they are easy to maintain but not at the same time. it is something we’re still working out the knots. we own six myotonic bucks, one nigerian dwarf doe, one nigerian dwarf wether, one wether who is a pygmy nigerian dwarf/mini silky fainting mix, and a doe that is also a pygmy nigerian dwarf/mini silky fainting mix.

if you haven't followed along, we went from none to three. then three to ten. then we just added two more. we sold wick, oreo’s son. kept winston, oreo’s other son. we plan to sell two more and keep the rest. we are searching for a buck for our new doe mixed breed. she is smaller than we anticipated but we’re hoping she grows some more. she is still young.

as for, jett, sully, dusty, freddie, linus, shay and pops. they are working hard clearing a property of weeds. we love them and we are so blessed that they get to be closer than they were. we are also blessed to have someone care for them as much as we do. we know their bellies are full and they are having some fun.

as we practice holistic and natural healing, every treatment we do is herbal based unless we need to act fast and do not have something on hand. shay got sick from sneaking into the chicken feed when we got him, linus got extremely sick while we were out of town for two days and then the whole herd was just treated for some pesky little bug. (not quite sure exactly what it was, but we took care of it asap.)

like i said, we are still ironing out the kinks. our herd is going to grow some more, but we aren’t exactly sure where it will head. we might pivot or might stick to our course. either way, the ones we have will stay.
